Flip Drop! Privacy Policy

Effective 16 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Flip Drop! game ("the app") handles and why. Flip Drop! is published by Halfsky Publishing ("we", "us"). The app is available on Android, iOS and Windows (Microsoft Store).

In short: Flip Drop! has no accounts and we do not collect personal data ourselves. Your progress stays on your device. The app shows ads through Google AdMob: optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch, and a short ad between runs every few runs, and Google may process device data to show and measure those ads, as described below. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads. You can remove ads with a one-time purchase. The Windows version shows no ads at all.

1. Data stored on your device

The app remembers your best score, your sound and vibration settings, whether you have finished the tutorial, which tips you have seen, and how many runs you have played (so the ad between runs is spaced out fairly). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

This section applies to the Android and iOS versions. The Windows version contains no ads and no advertising SDK.

Flip Drop! shows two kinds of ads: optional rewarded ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for a Rewind (go back 3 flips after a fall), a Hint (the next few rolls), a Boost (double points for a few islands) or Steady (the trail behind you does not crack on one island); and a short ad between runs after every few finished runs, never in your first runs. There are no banner ads. Ads never change how hard the game is. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google. When the app requests or shows an ad, Google may collect and process:

Google uses this to deliver and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud, and, where you have consented, to personalise ads. Google acts under its own privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

3. Your consent choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message the first time ads may be requested. You can consent, refuse, or manage your choices per purpose. If you refuse, any ads shown are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy choices in the app.

On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking when the system asks. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.

4. Purchases

Remove ads is a one-time purchase through Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment. The game only keeps an on-device note that ads are removed; we receive no payment details. After the purchase the game requests no ads, so Google AdMob no longer receives data from it on your device.

On Windows, the game is free to try and the full game is a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store, which handles the payment and the license under Microsoft's own privacy statement. The game asks the Store whether the full game is unlocked and keeps an on-device note of the answer; we receive no payment details.

5. What we do not do

6. Children

Flip Drop! is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal data about you, requests about advertising data are best directed to Google, and you can withdraw ad consent in the app as described above. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Retention

Data on your device is kept until you uninstall the app or reset your data. Google retains advertising data according to its own policies.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above.
