TinyFingers Paint Privacy Policy

Effective 21 October 2026

This policy explains what information the TinyFingers Paint app ("the app") handles and why. TinyFingers Paint is a finger-painting app for young children, made for parents and children to use together. It is published by Halfsky Publishing ("we", "us") and is made for Android (Google Play), Windows (Microsoft Store), and iPhone, iPad and Mac (App Store).

In short: TinyFingers Paint collects no personal data, from children or from parents. It has no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no sign-in, and it works offline. Drawings and settings stay on your device. The optional one-time Full Version purchase is handled entirely by the store you buy it from: Google Play, the Microsoft Store or Apple's App Store.

1. Data stored on your device

The app remembers the parent's settings (ink fade time, brush size, background, sound, which side the crayons sit on, and whether the device lock starts automatically), how much of the 10 free minutes is left, and whether the Full Version is unlocked. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Drawings are not stored at all unless a parent saves one with "Save Fridge Art" in the Parents menu. The picture is then saved to the device's Pictures folder (Android), the Photos library (iPhone and iPad, where the app asks only for permission to add photos, not to see them), the TinyFingers folder in Pictures (Mac) or the Downloads folder (Windows), where only you can see it.

2. No ads, analytics or tracking

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting service, no social features, and no third-party software that collects data. It makes no network requests while your child paints.

3. Device lock

A parent can lock the device so the child stays inside the app. On Android this uses the system's App pinning; on iPhone and iPad it uses Apple's Guided Access, which a parent switches on in the device's Settings; on a Mac the app hides the Dock and the menu bar and turns off app switching and Force Quit while locked; on Windows the app fills the screen and ignores keys such as the Windows key and Alt+Tab while locked. The app does not record or send which keys are pressed or anything drawn. Unlocking (and, on Android and Windows, closing the app) is in the Parents menu, behind the parental gate.

4. Purchases

The app can be tried free for 10 minutes of painting. The Full Version is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play, the Microsoft Store or Apple's App Store, which handle the payment and the receipt under their own privacy policies (Google, Microsoft, Apple). The purchase button is behind the parental gate. The app only asks the store whether the Full Version is owned and keeps an on-device note of the answer; we receive no payment details.

5. Children

TinyFingers Paint is designed for young children. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and the app has no way to contact the child or let the child share anything. Settings, purchases, the device lock, saving pictures and leaving the app are only reachable through a parental gate that an adult must solve.

6. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you or your child, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. You can still contact us with any question, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above.
