About
Torque Blast! is a gear-linking block puzzle. Drop gear pieces onto a 7×7 board, connect them to the golden Driver in the middle, and reach one of the four Terminals: the whole powered chain shatters for points. The longer the chain, the bigger the blast.
As your score climbs, the board pushes back, and it always shows you how. The pressure depends on your score alone, so it is the same for every player and never depends on ads, purchases or your device.
- Gears and belts. Touching gears turn opposite ways, and a belt makes two gears turn the same way.
- Chain reactions. Link gears to the Driver, reach a Terminal, and the whole chain shatters.
- Streaks. Shatter turn after turn to build a streak and multiply your score.
- Full Circuit. Reach all four Terminals with one chain for double points.
- Rising pressure, in plain sight. Rust is marked a tray before it forms, Terminals overheat after they fire, and bigger four-cell pieces join the mix.
- Fair by design. Early on, every tray is checked so that all three pieces fit the board.
- Easy to learn. A short tutorial, a legend for every board element, and one-time tips that explain each rule as it appears.
- Plays offline. No account, no sign-in.

Tips & tricks
How to play
- The board. The golden Driver sits in the middle and always turns. Every chain starts from it. The four Terminals are the glowing rings on the middle of the four edges.
- Gears. Drop pieces from the tray onto the board. A gear linked to the Driver spins; a gear that is not linked yet stays grey and still. Gears that touch turn opposite ways.
- Belts. A belt links two gears so that they turn the same way.
- Reach a Terminal. Link the Driver’s chain to a Terminal and the whole chain shatters for points. A gear sitting on a Terminal makes it glow brighter.
- Jams. Close a loop with an odd number of belts and the loop jams: the piece you just placed turns to iron. Count your belts before you close a loop.
- Iron. Iron crumbles away over time, and a shatter right next to it breaks it at once.
- Streaks and circuits. Shatter turn after turn for a streak multiplier. One chain that reaches all four Terminals is a Full Circuit, worth double.
What gets harder, and how you can tell
The board never changes its rules behind your back. As your score rises you will see:
- Rust. A rust plate is marked one tray before it forms. Cover the plate with a piece and the rust drifts.
- Overheating Terminals. After a Terminal fires it goes dark for a few trays, and counts down until it relights.
- Bigger pieces. Four-cell pieces join the mix.
- Longer-lasting iron, and fewer safety nets: the early help that makes sure every tray fits fades out as your score goes up.
Tips
- Open the Legend whenever a symbol is new. It explains every board element.
- Plan two trays ahead. A long chain pays far more than two short ones.
- Keep a path free to a Terminal that is not overheating.
- Leave room around the Driver. Running out of room is how a run ends.
- A Boost doubles your points for a few placements, so it pays most when a big chain is within reach. A Blast clears a 3×3 area, which is good for freeing a crowded corner.
Frequently asked questions
Is Torque Blast! free?
Android and iPhone/iPad: free, with optional rewarded ads and a short ad between runs. A one-time “Remove ads” purchase in Settings removes them all.
Windows: free to try, with no ads at all. A one-time purchase unlocks the full game.
Which ads are there, and when?
There are no banners. Rewarded ads are always your choice: watch one for a Boost (double points for a few placements), a Blast that clears a 3×3 area, or a Continue when you run out of room. The Continue is offered once per run, and only when it would actually let you keep playing.
A short ad plays between runs after every third finished run. It never plays at launch, never in the middle of a run, and never during your first three runs ever. If you have watched a rewarded ad, that counts as the ad for that cycle.
What does “Remove ads” do?
It is a one-time purchase on Android and iPhone/iPad (Settings has Remove ads and Restore purchase). It removes every ad, and the rewarded bonuses become free taps, still within the same limits and cooldowns. Nothing else about the game changes.
Is the difficulty the same for everyone?
Yes. Difficulty rises with your score and nothing else. The piece dealer only looks at the board, your score and a random seed. It never reads whether you watched an ad, bought something, gave consent, or what device you use, and no death is timed to an ad.
Does the game collect my data?
There are no accounts and we run no analytics. Scores and settings stay on your device. On Android and iPhone/iPad the ads come from Google AdMob, which may process device data, and where you live may decide whether you are asked for consent. After Remove ads the game requests no ads. The Windows version has no ads and no advertising software. Read the privacy policy for the full picture.
Does it work offline?
Yes. There is no account or sign-in, and the game itself plays offline.
Which devices does it run on?
Android: Android 8.0 or newer. iPhone and iPad: iOS or iPadOS 17 or newer. Windows: Windows 10 (version 1809) or newer, with a landscape layout for desktop and a portrait one for convertibles; you can play with mouse, touch or a pen.
Why did my gear turn to iron?
You closed a loop that has an odd number of belts, so the gears could not all turn consistently and the loop jammed. Open the Legend to see how iron looks, then rebuild the loop with one belt more or less.
